A través de un acuerdo con la Universidad de California, esta nueva version del International MBA finaliza en el campus de la Universidad de California, Irvine (UCI).

Temario del curso
Courses in Madrid The MBA starts in Madrid,
through four months and 400 hours of class contact. Students acquire
knowledge of General Management, Finance, Operations, Marketing and Human
Resources. This stage in Madrid finishes with the presentation of the
first of three reports that need to be submitted by the working groups
during the course. The report requires the analysis of an industrial
sector and an actual company with special emphasis in it's cost structure,
ending the study by recommending strategic proposals for the future of the
organisation.

Courses in Shanghai The stage in Shanghai,
shows how things learnt need to be modified in the light of different
cultures and customs within the Asian region, with special focus on China. During
this period, students acquire a wide knowledge and a real understanding of
business and investment in China and Asia. They also will learn about
specific issues in this particular region: the role played by the
Government in business, how accounting principles are implemented, the
environmental issues and regulations and the international trade
agreements. Academic contents are completed with visits to companies,
both Chinese and international ones having Chinese branches. This
cross-cultural experience will lead the students to the formulation of
business strategies in this region and will give them the platform to
identify and explore real business opportunities. Additionally, the
School offers students classes of "Basic Chinese" to help them acquire an
introductory knowledge of the language. At the end of this stage, the
assignment is based in a practical case where a sector and competitors
analysis shall be carried out, in order to formulate a new strategy
proposal.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Introduction to Project
Management Principles and Practices (On Line). Earned Management

Cost Management and Capital Budgeting.
INTERNSHIP: As an optional last course for an
additional fee of $1,150, you have the opportunity to apply academic
theory and gain practical experience in a variety of international
business job functions. A research project provides additional
training. Included in the internship is the Interviewing Skills and
Resume Development Workshop. Prerequisite: Completion of the
requirements for the Global Operations Management Certificate.
Programme Structure The core courses
of the MBA are delivered in Madrid where the program
begins from 16th April to 8th August. Students acquire a general knowledge
of General Management, Finance, Operations, Marketing and Human Resources.
At the same time they will follow an introductory on line course to
Project Management provided by UCI. While students attend class in
Madrid they will start work on the MBA Final Project, which is a key
element for the assessment of the students performance. This project
consists on the creation of a new company, including its business plan. In
Madrid, the project teams and the projected company definition will be
approved by the Academic Staff and tutors will be appointed for every
working team. The following stage is in Shanghai, from
3th September to 14th December, where students receive introductory
courses, and learn about the economy and business in China. During the
stay in Shanghai, basic Chinese is taught to all the students. The
final stage of the International MBA is delivered at the University of California,
Irvine campus from 3th January to 28th March. At UCIrvine, IEDE students
will join a group of international students and will follow a set of
courses around two main areas: Global Operations and Project Management. Along
this period students will continue the MBA Final Project under IEDE
faculty on-line tutoring. This Final Project shall be presented to a panel
of professors from the world-wide organization of IEDE, just after the end
of Irvine classes and exams. Students who successfully complete the
global operations courses delivered by UCIrvine will be awarded with an
Accelerated Certificate on Global Operations Management issued by
University of California, Irvine. At the end of the MBA program in
March, students have the opportunity to take part in an optional three
months internship in an American company. This option is charged with
extra fee that are not included in the program fee.
